Mr. Michael Nelson has dedicated 15 years to education in SCISA, specializing in teaching math and science and coaching a variety of sports. Michael graduated from Presbyterian College with a BS in Biology. He joined Dorchester Academy in 2023 as Athletic Director, Varsity Football Coach, and as a math/science teacher. Coach Nelson has won six state championships in SCISA (three in football and three in baseball) as well as a state runner-up in girls' basketball. With a deep passion for building meaningful relationships, Coach Nelson thrives on watching his students and student-athletes grow academically, athletically, and spiritually. Whether in the classroom or on the field and court, he is committed to fostering an environment where all students can excel and develop into well-rounded individuals. Go Raiders!
